The Story of Jane’s Casserole.

About 40 years ago my wife, Jane, asked me to make her a casserole. Standing with me as I threw the piece she expressed her desire for size and other characteristics resulting in the finished casserole. She cooked in it for all these years and it still functions in my kitchen looking very used but still going strong. Bonnie Rash, the owner of the Silver Fox Gallery in Hendersonville North Carolina, asked me to do this casserole again just as it was done years previous. It is meaningful to me because the casseroles I am now producing are in commemoration of my wife’s life. She passed in July 2006. Each casserole is numbered and dated

Specially designed, these Buitekant bakers and casseroles are made from Stoneware and White Stoneware formulated for oven use and personally formulated glazes that are created for food presentation. Professional Chefs have told me the forms and glazes used make a beautiful table presentation.
